PART TIME ( SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 0700-1500) UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER FOR GOVERNMENT CONTRACT

PAY RATE $20.00- $22.00 (DOE)

Job Description and Requirements

· We are looking for a security professional to undertake the surveillance of client's premises

· The security professional will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing trespasses, vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior

· The security professional must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators

· The ideal candidate must possess excellent customer service skills, communications skills, writing skills, de-escalation skills

· The security professional must have the ability to tactfully deescalate certain situations in a professional matters without drawing extra attention

· The ideal candidate has to be able to respect authority as well as possess high level of observation

· Must complete required security/safety training programs

· Keep client's premises safe and problem-free

· Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing to the supervisor

· Meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications

· Work in environments and under conditions that require carrying authorized weapons and ammunition, the use of protective gear and devices, and awareness of personal safety and safety of others

· Maintain awareness and familiarity with the site-specific post orders, SOPs and information in company provided handbook

· Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the property

· Investigate individuals for suspicious activity, behavior and possessions

· Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation

· Provide assistance to people in need

· Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocols before arrival of local authorities

· Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences by completing a DAR and/or a report on Silvertrac

· Greet guests and residents in a cheerful and welcoming manner

Skills

· At least 3 years of experience as a security officer

· Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety

· Excellent report writing

· Excellent surveillance and observation skills

Minimum Hiring Standards

· Must have a reliable means of communication

· Must have a reliable means of transportation

· Must have the legal right to work in the United States

· Must have a valid Guard Card

. Must have CPR/First Aid

· Must have the ability to learn how to operate basic smart scheduling and reporting apps
