Security Officer (Food Manufacturing Facility) – Bilingual Spanish Preferred

• Monday – Friday | 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM

About the Position

We are seeking a professional and dependable Security Officer to provide access control, visitor management, and site security services at a food manufacturing facility. This is an unarmed, observe-and-report position focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain professionalism while enforcing site policies and procedures.

This is an observe-and-report position. Security Officers are expected to document and report incidents while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach to site security.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Control access at the facility entrance and exit points.
• Open and secure gates as required by site procedures.
• Register and log all visitors, vendors, contractors, auditors, deliveries, and pickups.
• Verify visitor identification and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Utilize site technology, including tablets, radios, and visitor management applications.
• Conduct hourly patrols of the property to monitor security and safety conditions.
• Verify authorized personnel are present in designated work areas.
• Monitor parking areas and enforce site parking requirements.
• Direct vehicle and truck traffic while maintaining safe access to facility gates.
• Notify appropriate departments regarding incoming deliveries and service providers.
• Ensure visitors entering production areas comply with required safety and sanitation requirements, including personal protective equipment when applicable.
• Enforce employee identification badge requirements and maintain documentation of badge-related incidents.
• Monitor for unauthorized individuals, suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations.
• Complete daily reports, incident reports, visitor logs, and required documentation through SharePoint and other company systems.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report deficiencies.
• Maintain a visible security presence to help deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Respond appropriately to incidents following company and client procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Valid California Guard Card required.
• Previous security, access control, gate attendant, concierge, or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate mobile devices, tablets, and computer-based reporting systems.
• Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping abilities.
• Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by radio, and by telephone.
• Ability to observe and identify safety and security concerns.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50 per hour
