Unarmed Security Officer

Overton is currently hiring for Unarmed Foot Patrol Security Officers in the Los Angeles Area for a local highrise shopping center. This posting is for a Foot Patrol Only of an 8 floored shopping center with high traffic. All candidates must be able to work well with other officers and be able to climb stairs during their foot patrols. This post is NOT an entry level position all candidates for this position must have a minimum of 1 year previous security experience.

Pay Rate/Range: $18.00/hr. paid weekly

Schedules Avail:

Monday- 2 PM- 10:30 PM

Tuesday- OFF

Wednesday- OFF

Thursday-2 PM- 10:30 PM

Friday- 2 PM- 10:30 PM

Saturday- 2 PM- 10:30 PM

Sunday- 2 PM- 10:30 PM

Weekly Hours- 40 Hours (Unpaid 30 min lunch)

Hard Requirements:

• Local to the site.
• No issues with transportation or distance.
• Able to Walk and Stand
• Able to go climb up and down stairs.
• Tech Savvy
• Customer Service Experience

Job Description:

As an Overton Professional Security Officer you will be a part of a results oriented team responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all our serviced properties. Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor entrance of vehicles or people in the property
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
• Understand when to contact SOC, PD, client or management
• Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees when arriving or leaving

Qualified applicants for Security Officer Positions must meet the minimum requirements as described below:

• High school diploma or GED
• Have a current BSIS Guard Card
• Have excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Be computer savvy and have the ability to utilize innovative, wireless technology
• Have flexible and weekend availability
• Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
• Must have a neat and professional appearance
