Job Summary:
The Security Director will lead the organization's security strategy, overseeing the protection of physical and intellectual assets on behalf of the ownership group. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive security policies, managing security personnel, and coordinating response efforts to ensure a safe environment for residence, employees, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a security strategy aligned with organizational goals. Lead the security team in identifying vulnerabilities and implementing effective security measures.
- Policy Development: Help create, update, and enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Recommend and implement appropriate security measures to mitigate risks.
- Incident Management: Oversee the response to security incidents, including investigations, reporting, and communication with law enforcement as necessary. Lead crisis management efforts and conduct post-incident reviews.
- Team Management: Manage the security team, fostering a culture of safety and vigilance. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to staff.
- Technology Integration: Stay abreast of advancements in security technology and recommend tools and systems to enhance security operations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to Board of Residence on security performance, incidents, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Military or Law enforcement experience
- Extensive experience in security management, with a focus on corporate security or law enforcement.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing security personnel.
- Strong understanding of security systems and technology, including surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are a plus.
- CCW permit is a plus.
