Job Description

Position: Safety and Security Training Coordinator

Department: Safety and Security

FLSA Grade: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $28 – $32 per hour

Position Summary:

The Safety and Security Training Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Safety and Security, is responsible for supporting the Safety and Security training program for the LA Phil, including, but not limited to development and implementation of staff training, project and budget tracking, and expense reporting. The coordinator will work cross-functionally with various departments across the LA Phil to meet training needs.

Position Elements:

Assist in managing safety and security training of staff for the entire training lifecycle.
Collaborate with Director of Safety and Security in preparation of project budgets and forecasts and track progress through completion.
Process invoices and ensure timely payments to any external vendors.
Assist with the development of training programs and Power Point unique presentations for departments as needed.
Assist with development and implementation of safety and security policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and maintain an awareness as they are updated.
Executes special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Must be 18 years or older to apply
Experience working in security, law enforcement, or the military is highly preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in criminal justice, security management, occupational health or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with security regulations
Highly organized, detail oriented, ability to establish changing priorities, flexible
Excellent initiative and inter-personal skills
Professional demeanor in difficult situations
