Unarmed Security Guard

Gold Shield Protection Services is actively hiring Unarmed Guards for assignment in Inglewood, CA. This role requires candidates who are committed to excellence, alertness, customer service, and client/property-focused protection. Guards will ensure the safety of sensitive facilities, personnel, and property in a professional and respectful manner. The position will be responsible for monitoring pedestrian and vehicle traffic entering into the community from a guard booth. They will also conduct regular roving patrols throughout the community to ensure the safety and security of residents, guests, and property at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, professional security services to protect personnel, assets, and client premises
• Conduct patrols (on foot) to monitor for safety and security threats
• Greet and assist employees, visitors, and contractors while enforcing access control procedures
• Escort visitors to designated secure entry/exit points
• Follow post orders and site-specific procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety and security protocols
• Respond promptly to emergency and security alarms, serving as a first responder as needed
• Report incidents, safety concerns, and breaches using clear written and verbal communication
• Maintain a strong, visible presence to deter unauthorized activities and enhance site safety
• Communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally across all interactions, ensuring a personalized and meaningful service experience that builds lasting trust.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California Guard Card and exposed firearms permit
• Valid California Drivers License
• 1–2 years of verifiable experience in a security role
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Optional equipment such as, pepper spray, baton and tasers
• Must have a reliable smartphone (iOS or Android) for communication with management and use of time-tracking apps
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
• Intermediate computer skills; comfortable using wireless technology at secure sites
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or within a team
• Must meet applicable state and local licensing requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification
• Training in conflict resolution or de-escalation techniques

Schedule

• 4 – 8 hour shifts
• Day, evening, and night availability
• Flexible full-time and part-time roles available
