Security Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

Crystal Casino is seeking Full Time Security Officers to patrol assigned areas and create a safe positive guest service environment. The Security Officer will follow and enforce company policy and procedures related to the safety of all Guests, Casino Team Members, Casino Property, and assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the protection and safety of Guests, Casino Team Members, and Casino Property.
• Report violations of policies and procedures, internal controls, and laws to the Shift Manager on duty in a timely manner.
• Escort Guests, Casino Team Members, and assets on the Casino grounds.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by telephone, or over the radio.
• Respond to Guest and Casino Team Member requests for service in a professional and courteous manner.
• Participate in the collection of Drop Boxes in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to provide First Aid and CPR.
• Must have knowledge of Emergency and Safety procedures.
• Must be able to perform other assigned duties when necessary.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Work Permit from the City of Compton, which requires a background check by the LA County Sheriffs Department.
• Minimum (3) year experience interacting directly with the public.
• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Verbal and written communications skills are required.
• Must be available to work any shift including weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary.
• Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the U.S.A.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualified individual must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
• Qualified individual must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds without restrictions.
• Requires ability to reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must have acceptable hearing levels and be able to wear radio earphone.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions.

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/PERMITS

• Must have a valid California Drivers License and an acceptable driving record.
• Must have BSIS Security Guard Card or Proprietary Private Security Office License.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Work Permit from the City of Compton, which requires a background check by the LA County Sheriffs Department.
