Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, preventing losses, and responding to emergencies. The Security Guard will be an essential part of our security operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure effective monitoring of premises.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities to identify potential security risks.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to protect property and assets from theft or damage.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations for management review.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other surveillance technologies.
• Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and strategies.
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and protocols is a plus.
• Ability to perform first aid and CPR in emergency situations.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential security threats.
• A valid security certificate or relevant training in security operations is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 18 per week
