Security Guard

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Responsibilities

– Monitor the premises, especially the showroom when customers are present

– Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access and ensure safety.

– Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.

– Check in customers and verify their legal age for entry into the showroom.

– Document daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences in detailed reports.

– Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations related to loss prevention.

– Manage conflicts effectively and de-escalate situations as they arise.

Qualifications

– Must be 21 years or older and possess a valid Security License.

– Must be able to stand for long periods.

– Must be able to reliably lift 30+ pounds if needed.

– Previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred.

– Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.

– Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and conflict management strategies.

– Experience with surveillance systems (CCTV) is a plus.

– Strong observational skills and attention to detail.

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.28 – $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Weekends only
