Armed Security Officer – Aventus Security

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong conflict management skills, a background in law enforcement or military service, and the ability to effectively monitor surveillance systems. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for preventing loss, ensuring safety, and responding to emergencies with professionalism and efficiency.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect security breaches or suspicious activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.
• Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to identify potential threats or violations.
• Enforce regulations and policies while maintaining a visible presence to promote safety.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed during emergencies.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or gather information.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing security measures.
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities for management review.

Experience

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment (CCTV) and conflict management techniques is essential.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Position Overview

We are currently hiring Armed Security Officers to join our professional team. The ideal candidate is reliable, alert, and able to respond effectively to security concerns while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible armed security presence and patrol assigned property.
• Monitor property access points and control unauthorized entry.
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies.
• Prepare detailed daily activity, incident, and maintenance reports (via Guard Owl or site logbook).
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch and site supervisors.
• Interact with clients, residents, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Enforce post orders and company policies at all times.

Requirements

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card (required)
• Valid BSIS Firearm Permit (required)
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Reliable transportation and smartphone
• Excellent communication and observation skills
• Professional appearance and conduct
• Must be able to stand or patrol for extended periods
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional permits (Baton, Pepper Spray, CPR/First Aid)
• Prior experience in armed or law enforcement roles
• Strong report writing and customer service skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $23.63 – $28.46 per hour
