JOB TITLE: Part Time Security Officer

DEPARTMENT: Security

STATUS: Part-Time/Event Security/ Seasonal

STARTING RATE: $21.00/hour

REPORTS TO: ASEC Security Director

Job Summary:

The Security Department is responsible for the safety and security of ASEC and UCLA Health Training Facility guests, employees, and assets always.

All Security staff, are responsible to read and adhere to ASEC-UHTC policy and procedures including dress code and appearance.

Job Description:

• Conduct patrols of the building on a regular basis
• Respond to all security and safety related issues in a timely manner
• Investigate incidents and compile information for official reports
• Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without the loss of efficiency or composure
• Use excellent customer service skills when interacting with guests, clients, and staff
• Complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines and deadlines set forth by ASEC Security and LAL Building Management
• Comply with all legal and ethical instructions given by ASEC Security and LAL Building Management
• Ability to memorize, recollect and quickly relay relevant information when requested
• Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional guests and staff during intensely aggravated circumstances
• Ability to effectively perform in crises situations and work under pressure without the loss of composure.
• Ability to maintain guest, team member, and company confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug screening test
• Current active guard card

Applicants must have and maintain a valid California Guard Card, or Proprietary Security Officer Card, OR be willing to obtain one prior to employment, for the duration of employment.

Work Conditions:

• Tasks are performed with moderate supervision
• Walking and standing occurs 50% of the time
• Speaking, walking, running, lifting, listening and visual observations occur continuously
• Team members should use precautions and follow safety guidelines

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $21.00 per hour

Hours: 16-30 hrs. per week

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year plus
• Security Experience: 1 year plus

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Some Day shifts
• Weekday Evenings
• Weekend availability is a must!

Ability to commute/relocate:

• El Segundo, CA 90245: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
