Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Unarmed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our school community. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, approachable, and proactive in maintaining a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. As an unarmed security officer, you will play a key role in preventing incidents, providing a visible security presence, and assisting with emergency response when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol school grounds to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies as they arise.
• Assist with controlling access to the school, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry.
• Report any security hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual activities to management or local authorities.
• Assist in evacuations, lockdowns, or other emergency procedures when required.
• Provide a visible and approachable security presence, promoting a positive environment for students and staff.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities and incidents.
• Enforce school policies and procedures, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• You must possess a valid guard card.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• You must have a Powers to Arrest certificate.
• A California ID or driver’s license is necessary.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• You must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 60 per week
