As a Security Officer – Exterior Rounds Patrol in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a cultural institution location, you will monitor and patrol memorial grounds, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist guests and staff with courteous directions and communication. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and support a respectful environment. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting on-site management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, memorial grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and information requests, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or unusual conditions through proper channels.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives, and support special events and high-traffic periods as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
