Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and vigilant Access Control Officer to join our team for scheduled shifts on Thursdays and Fridays from 3 PM to 11 PM, as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 7 AM to 3 PM. In this role, you will be responsible for managing access points, monitoring security systems, and ensuring the safety of personnel and property through proactive surveillance and conflict management. Your dedication will help uphold our reputation for dependable security services.

Responsibilities

• Authorize entry and exit for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while verifying identification and credentials
• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
• Conduct thorough inspections of individuals and packages to prevent theft or unauthorized access
• Respond promptly to security incidents or conflicts, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations
• Maintain detailed logs of access activities, incidents, and surveillance findings for reporting purposes
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders if necessary during incidents
• Enforce loss prevention measures by observing and addressing potential security threats

Requirements

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor
• Certification in first aid, CPR, or conflict management is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle conflicts effectively and professionally
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during shifts
• Commitment to upholding safety standards with integrity and dependability
