Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage guest flow effectively.
Responsibilities
– Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
– Manage the reservation system and ensure efficient seating arrangements.
– Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the host stand.
– Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest needs.
– Address guest inquiries and resolve any conflicts or issues promptly.
– Monitor dining room activity to ensure guest satisfaction throughout their meal.
– Assist in training new staff members on hosting procedures and customer service standards.
Skills
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
– Conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations gracefully.
– Basic knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies is a plus.
– Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred, ensuring guest safety at all times.
– Familiarity with CCTV systems may be beneficial for monitoring the dining area.
– Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is an asset but not required.
