Armed Security Officer ONLY

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will play a key role in enforcing policies, preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of all individuals on the premises.

• Gainesville, FL Area
• Jacksonville, FL Area

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Operate CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities.
• Enforce company policies and procedures regarding security protocols.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary.
• Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management techniques.
• Collaborate with public safety agencies (Leo, Ems, Fire) when required.
• Document incidents and prepare reports as needed.
• Assist in loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A valid security certificate is REQUIRED. (Class D/Class G)
• Experience in law enforcement or military service is a plus.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance operations.
• Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Previous experience in loss prevention or security roles is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 – $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
