Security Officer

Contracted full-time non-commissioned Security Officer. This is 10-99 independant contract hire ONLY.

The Security Agents/contractors assigned to this post will be tasked with providing security inside and outside a secured medical laboratory facility. This is a professional environment. This position is Monday – Friday, 6am to 2pm.

The following are just some of the functions and responsibilities:

· Ensure the overall safety and security of the interior and exterior of the facility, its employees and its assets.

· Competence to identify and properly act on security threats and/or risks.

· Reading and understanding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)

· Demonstrate proficiency and proven ability to utilize computers, smart phones (Iphone), email, electronic reporting systems and the proper use and maintenance of all security equipment used in support of the overall security of the property and its assets.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

* No criminal history

· 5 + years of relevant security experience and/or Military/law enforcement experience

· Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

· Must possess the ability to multitask

· Must be a proactive problem solver with the capability to work independently

· Have superior knowledge of the latest technology in smartphones.

· Must have a current and active Texas State Level 2 or greater security officer license.

· Must be physically fit, in good physical shape… able to stand and walk the majority of the shift.

· Excellent communicator with the ability to professionally and successfully
converse with clients, superiors, peers/co-workers. Team player!

· Drug and nicotine-free.

Desired:

· Prior experience in corporate security

· Training in surveillance/ CCTV monitoring

· Former LEO and/or Military tenure

Pay:

· $17.00 /hour

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $17.01 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Overtime

Experience:

• Security: 10 years (Required)
• Military: 4 years (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)

License/Certification:

• active Texas security guard license level 2 or level 3 (Required)
• and current Guard Card (Required)
