Grey Services is looking for professional Armed Security Officers to protect our client’s premises, assets, and personnel. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The goal is to detect, deter, observe, and report.
All candidates must be adaptable to fit into any job environment and situation. We will provide on-the-job training to meet client specifications, as well as additional training on site at our offices. If not licensed DPS Level 3 Armed Security, only part time unarmed positions may be offered until licensed.

Position Requirements:
- Veteran or actively serving in the US Armed Forces strongly encouraged to apply.
- Valid State of Texas Level 3 Security License is REQUIRED to work armed posts.
- Be at least 21 years of age for all positions.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Have reliable means of transportation and communication.
- Pass all required background and drug screenings.
- Be customer service oriented.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Be able to perform routine foot patrol and do moderate lifting.
- May be required to drive a patrol vehicle.
- Must have a flexible schedule, to include nights and weekends.
- Must maintain a working smart phone.
- Candidate must be able to meet certain requirements to maintain a current Level 3 Commissioned Security Officer License in the State of Texas.
- Must possess a Social Security Card or current work authorization.
- DD-214 if applicable (Honorable Discharge).
- Must possess and be proficient with personally owned handgun.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain visibility to ensure safety and deter unacceptable activities.
- Understanding and complying with Grey Services and Client requirements.
- Observe signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators.
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol buildings and perimeter.
- Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures, as well as Grey Services safety manuals.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a security officer.
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
- Familiarity with report writing.
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
- Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write English clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers.
- Pushing/pulling/ carrying lifting may include up to 50 lbs.
- Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities.
- Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand, climb stairs, and walk as required to perform the duties associated with functioning as a security officer.
- Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Most of our active posts do not allow sitting.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
