Job Summary

Maintain a safe and secure environment for members, guests and staff by patrolling campus, performing security checks, monitoring surveillance cameras, greeting members and guests when entering the property, reporting violations, incidents and any suspicious activity to management both verbal and written.


MUST BE ABLE TO WORK THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE: MONDAY, TUESDAY & THURSDAY 6:00AM – 2:30PM.


Essential Duties

  • Patrols premises inside and out to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of all facilities, gates, and parking garage.
  • Monitors entrance and departure of employees, members, guests, and vendors to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Investigates and responds to alarms by following protocol.
  • Monitors security cameras and alarm/HVAC systems.
  • Note and report all irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences and damages via logbooks, email, or other approved methods.
  • Follow up on any missing information/reports with supervisor.
  • Always maintains a visual uniformed security presence.
  • Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds.
  • Issues and log all building keys in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Locks and opens designated buildings/offices as required.
  • Understands and follows the Club’s Emergency Action Plan and evacuation procedures.
  • Carry out emergency procedures as necessary.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
  • Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency and notifies management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Other Duties

  • Acknowledges members and guests when entering and leaving property in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Approached vehicles as entering garage and obtains the purpose of the visit.
  • Assists members, guests, and staff as needed (examples, jump start vehicle, proper parking locations).
  • Addresses member, guest, and staff concerns if necessary; otherwise, refer any member, guest, staff, and vendor conflict to appropriate manager or Manager on Duty.
  • Check-in members and guests when working the poolside gate and performs other related duties as assigned.

Schedule: Shifts will vary to include nights, weekends, and holiday to cover operational needs 7 days a week.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Proficient use of a computer for camera surveillance, writing incident reports, email, etc.
  • Must be able to remain calm in high pressure situations and follow incident protocols
  • Have a valid Driver’s License
  • Work well with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.


Education and Experience


  • MUST HAVE Level 2 Unarmed Security Guard Certification
  • Security guard or law enforcement experience is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, and 1st Aid certifications

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb stairs, balance stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and/or sit up to eight hours per day.

  • Hearing and talking sufficient enough to effectively communicate with members, guests, and staff.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, vision sufficient enough to read, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Independent mobility throughout campus.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking both indoors and outdoors in the heat, cold, rain, etc.
