Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Doorman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure and safe environment for guests and staff, while being welcoming and inviting. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, inspects all proper forms of Identification per TABC laws. The Door Person will play a crucial role in ensuring safety through surveillance and monitoring of entry points, and ensuring the safety of all patrons in the bar. Think of this position as a host/security position and a vital position to create an atmosphere. This is a tipped position + hourly paid Bi-weekly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorized individuals enter per TABC laws.
• Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations.
• Ensure the safety of property and guests.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when required, providing necessary information and support during incidents.
• Maintain accurate logs of total occupants in and out of property at all times.
• Assist in glassware pickup.
• Assist in trash removal from bar to dumpster.
• Helping with end of shift cleaning procedures.
• Securing all furniture and equipment on property for loss prevention/theft.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 32 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Night shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Security: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)
