Security Guard (1:00PM – 9:30PM) – Irving, TX

As Reconext continues to grow, we’re seeking a reliable and motivated Security Guard to support the safety and security of our Irving, TX facility, team members, and guests. This position plays a critical role in protecting company property and maintaining a safe working environment across multiple sites.

What You’ll Do

Under the direction of the Security Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring facilities via surveillance systems, alarm panels, and on-site patrols.

• Responding to emergencies, assisting with evacuations, and coordinating with emergency services when necessary.

• Documenting incidents and submitting reports.

• Locking/unlocking entrances at scheduled times and maintaining perimeter integrity.

• De-escalating situations and escorting individuals off property as needed.

• Conducting safety drills and supporting evacuation procedures.

• Providing guidance on company security protocols to employees and contractors.

• Performing routine inspections and audits of security systems and equipment.

• Maintaining a presence in the parking lot to manage traffic flow and monitor activity.

• Supporting weekend, holiday, or overtime shifts as needed.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in an office/facility setting. You’ll regularly interact with team members across departments and may be required to work in varied conditions including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Equipment used may include computers, communication devices, CCTV systems, and access control platforms.

What You Bring

• Active Texas Level II Security License (Required)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent (higher education is a plus).
• Clean criminal background and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency with surveillance systems and basic security technology.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
