Unarmed Security Officer – Hope Lodge

Job Summary
We are seeking an unarmed security officer – already licensed with a valid Level II security guard card.

The hours are Friday through Monday from 12:30 am to 7:30 am (Total of 28 hours), and the hourly rate we will pay is $17.00 an hour.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Duties

• Access Control to include enforcing visiting hours at the building.
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the facility.
• Monitor premises through regular patrols (foot patrol and vehicle patrol)
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
• Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques.
• Document incidents accurately in reports and maintain records of daily activities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide assistance during investigations.
• Provide first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activities or behaviors.

Requirements

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies is a plus.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be physically fit to perform duties that may include standing for long periods or responding quickly in emergencies.
• Must already possess a valid Level II security license and have at least one year of unarmed security experience.
