Stratton Amenities is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Security Officer to oversee and lead a team of security officers at a luxury apartment building in Dallas, TX. The Lead Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the property, residents, and staff while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead and supervise a team of security officers, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for security team members.
- Ensure the team adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment among security staff.
- Training and Development:
- Train and onboard new security team members.
- Provide ongoing training and resources to help the team succeed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.
- Emergency Response:
- Be available for emergency calls and respond promptly to security incidents after hours.
- Coordinate and oversee emergency response protocols and procedures.
- Scheduling and Coverage:
- Manage overnight scheduling to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Find suitable coverage in case of employee call-offs or unexpected absences.
- Complaint Resolution:
- Investigate and respond to employee, resident, and client complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Escalate matters as necessary to ensure satisfactory resolutions.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor and analyze service levels and security trends to identify areas of improvement.
- Implement corrective actions and enhancements to maintain a high level of service quality.
- Policy Implementation:
- Communicate and facilitate the effective implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Ensure that security team members are well-informed and compliant with all protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Supervisor or Lead.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Level 2 Security Officer.
- High school diploma required; some college education preferred.
- At least 2 years of leadership-level experience in security.
- Must be willing and able to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with a strong work ethic.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Active listening skills to understand and address team and client needs.
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
