Armed Security Officer (Flex – Level 3 only)

SMITH PROTECTIVE SERVICES, INC. is seeking a highly motivated, vigilant, and dedicated security officers who have a Commissioned Security License through the Texas Private Security Bureau for positions at several Public and Charter schools throughout the Dallas Metropolitan area.

APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING BASIC REQUIREMENTS: · Eligible to work in the United States of America. · Have a valid Texas driver’s license or identification card. · Have a valid Commissioned Security License. · Must be 18 years of age or older.· Must have a working telephone.· Must have approved firearm and duty gear at the time of hire.· Must have reliable transportation.· Be willing to submit to a physical and drug screen.· Agree to an in-depth background check including but not limited to criminal history, work performance, and character references.

THE MAJOR DUTIES ARE AS FOLLOWS: · Provide safety and security for students, faculty, and visitors on the campus.· Patrol campus and perform overwatches for active threats.· Inspect and check to ensure doors and gates are secured and continuously locked.· Respond to and investigate calls from campus concerning security risks.· Prepare detailed incident reporting of information.· Adhere to company and school administrative policies and procedures.· Exhibit punctuality and dependability in performing required duty assignments.· Adhere to professional ethical standards in relationship with students, parents, staff, and visitors.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
