Part Time Armed Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. The Armed Security Officer will be expected to enforce security policies, conduct surveillance, and ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.

Duties

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or other criminal activity.

Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.

Conduct regular inspections of facilities, ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Provide loss prevention services by identifying potential theft or vandalism risks.

Engage in conflict management to de-escalate tense situations while ensuring safety for all parties involved.

Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.

Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as required during investigations or emergencies.

Experience

All candidates for this position MUST have a current/valid Guard Card issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety which will be verified on TOPS, Current/Valid Driver’s License and a clear driving record.

Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Pay Rate: 20.00/hr. paid Weekly

Site/Position Requirements: Candidates should be able to perform both Foot and Mobile patrols for the duration of their shift. Candidates will be required to provide their own Duty Belt/Gun/Gear: Revolver .38 or .38 special; Semi Auto 9mm, .40cal, .45 and minimum level II holster (level III preferred).

Schedules Avail: (Part Time Swing / Graveyard)

Friday , Saturday and Sunday

Occasional overnight armed shift, Mon thru Thu.

Graveyard: 2200-0600

Qualified applicants for Security Officer Positions must meet the minimum requirements as described below:

High school diploma or GED

Have a current Texas DPS Commission (Armed) Guard Card

Have excellent English oral and written communication skills

Be computer savvy and have the ability to utilize innovative, wireless technology

Have flexible and weekend availability

Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards

Must have a neat and professional appearance

Responsibilities

Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence

Monitor the entrance of vehicles or people in the property

Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area

Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage

Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation

Provide assistance to people in need

Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Understand when to contact Security Operations Center, PD, client and/or management

Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees when arriving or leaving

General Requirements:

Be fully vaccinated or willing to complete vaccination process (must have proof)

2 years LICENSED Security Experience (Verified through the TX DPS(TOPS) Required

MVR- Motor Vehicle Record Check

Mobile Patrol position. Must pass drivers background check.

Valid DL required.

A safe driving record is a condition for employment as a driver.

Driver must have three or more current years of verifiable

over-the-road experience

Candidates cannot have more than 3 tickets or

2 Tickets and 1 accident

No more than1 accident

No major traffic violations (ie DUI, DWI, DWLS, FMFR)

Foot Patrol

Candidates must be able to perform a foot patrol for the duration of their shift.
