Downtown Dallas Courtesy Officer (Security)

Shift Details:

Saturday and Sunday 8:00am to 8:00pm

Monday and Tuesday 4:00pm to Midnight

This is a front desk position inside a residential building in Downtown Dallas. Candidates must have customer service experience as this position requires a great deal on interaction with people.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor premises for security breaches.
• Enforce rules and regulations, maintaining order and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary.
• Prepare detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations or emergencies.
• Participate in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate tense situations effectively.

Requirements

• Previous experience in law enforcement or security-related roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques is a plus.
• Must possess a valid security officer certification or be willing to obtain one.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.

Pay: $16.50 per hour
