Security Officer – 1 Shift Open (Sunday: 8PM – 8AM)

The Security Officer will be working in a recovery center environment. The security officers are responsible for the safety and security of the facility. The security officer acts as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests, or employees at the facility.

• Patrol facility buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism.
• Secures, locks, and protects facility buildings and grounds. Assists with inquiries made by clients, visitors, or personnel.
• Responds quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Ensures only authorized personnel is admitted onto the facility property.
• Maintains current information in lost and found logs.
• Serves as a member of the Safety Team and responds to codes appropriately.
• Reports all safety and fire hazards, investigate incidents of unusual circumstances, and reports all incidents to the supervisor.
• Supports all fire/life safety/emergency management drills and education initiatives.
• Documents incident reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Follows appropriate investigative procedures.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma; at minimum 5 years of verifiable work experience within 6 months of security experience.
