Security Officer

Metro Safety Patrol is currently accepting applications for Level 2 & 3 Security Officers. These officers will identify and report incidents and will be responsible for the security and safety of our clients’ properties.

Standard Officer duties include: making your presence known on-site and in the community; providing escort for managers as requested; preventing trespassing or loitering on site; routinely checking doors; lighting and security assessments; Officer will NOT be using force of any kind – we are only on-site to provide a visual deterrent.

You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – all shift reports must be accurate and provide multiple details regarding the shift.

Job Duties:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations
• Successfully use the provided software to annotate events that occur during shift.
• Make regular trips around the property and scan the pre-determined points as directed by management
• Work as part of a team
• Patrolling facilities & properties or manning posts to provide a security presence
• Detecting suspicious activity and threats to property or people
• Watching for criminal activity and responding based on your training
• Daily reporting of all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies

Minimum Security Officer and Security Guard Qualifications

• U.S. citizen
• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be able to meet state/county licensing requirements for Security Officers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check, personality assessment, and drug screen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed
