Part-time Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring activities, responding to incidents, and ensuring a secure environment for all.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to detect and respond to suspicious activities.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Manage conflicts effectively by employing de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required during incidents or investigations.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Ensure compliance with all security protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention techniques.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A valid security license may be required depending on state regulations.
