Job Description

Required Experience:

  • Valid Ontario/ Quebec Security Guard License
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a security environment
  • Must have Security Supervisor experience (2+ years)
  • Must be bilingual (English and French)
  • Demonstrate Strong knowledge of the Criminal Code & Trespass to Property Act
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, tact and diplomacy
  • Post-Secondary education in a Law Enforcement or Security program is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies.
  • Proficient in surveillance methods and technologies.
  • Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and regulations.
  • Experience in managing CCTV systems and other security equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Duties:

  • Be responsible for and enforce all company policies, site procedures, rules, and regulations at the site.
  • Ability to manage documentation such as the training matrix.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ensure all security duties are implemented in accordance with the security post orders and consistent with management policies and standards.
  • Inform site management of any threats or risk or deficiencies that the site might be exposed to and take preventive measures to mitigate the same.
  • Interview suitable candidates for various roles within the program.
  • Ensure effective communications from the Security Operations Team to Tenants, Building Personnel, Property Management and Securitas Management.
  • Responsible for tactical deployment of security personnel and oversight of major/critical incites that occur while on duty.
  • Ensure reports are completed with proper formatting, accuracy and no grammatical errors or mistakes.
  • To monitor the performance of all staff and provide feedback as and when needed.
  • When necessary to engage with tenants on security related matters as per site requirements and standards.
  • To meet with client and Securitas management representatives on regular basis to ensure all current, future and ongoing initiatives are on pace and meeting required standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include, frequent lifting and/or moving up to five (5) kilograms and occasional lifting and/or moving up to eleven (11) Kilograms.
