Box Office/Doorman

Duties and Responsibilities

• Answer phones and enter information for ticket orders
• Coordinate charity and donations
• Help clean showroom/club when necessary
• Welcome guests to the venue

• Scan tickets and check identification prior to seating guests

• Seat guests
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. disabled, elderly)
• Assist wait staff and bartenders as needed
• Monitor showroom during performance this includes removing patrons who get too rowdy, using problem-solving skills to settle disputes in a respectful manner, and contacting the authorities when a situation gets beyond the staff’s control.

Experience

• Hosting experience a plus

• Security experience a plus
• Professionalism – it’s critical for doormen to not show any favoritism to certain guests and to always carry themselves in a professional manner in often chaotic environments

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
