Rescue 8 Services is seeking reliable, professional, and highly trained Armed Security Guards to join our on-call team. This position is ideal for individuals with flexible schedules who are committed to maintaining safety and security at various client sites, events, and special assignments. As an Armed Security Guard, you will be responsible for protecting life and property, enforcing safety protocols, responding to emergencies, and ensuring a visible security presence that upholds the professional image of Rescue 8 Services.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide armed security presence and patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle.
- Deter and respond to unauthorized activity, disturbances, and safety hazards.
- Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures as directed by management.
- Conduct access control, ID verification, and visitor screening as needed.
- Write detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports.
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm systems when applicable.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and calls for assistance.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and law enforcement when necessary.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Illinois PERC Card.
- Must have a current 20-Hour Unarmed and 28-Hour Armed Security Certification.
- Valid FOID card and ability to carry an approved firearm.
- Minimum 1 year of security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work in varying environments.
- Must be available for on-call, evening, weekend, and holiday assignments.
- Reliable transportation and working cell phone required.
Salary
$20 – $25 per hour
