About the Role: Looking to make an impact every day? Join our dedicated Armed Security Officers team at Professional Protection Corp in Lake County, IN. You’ll be the frontline protector, ensuring the safety of our clients and their assets. We’re offering full-time roles with afternoon and overnight shifts as the main need we are attempting to fill. At times, the shift may start in the late afternoon and continue overnight.

What You’ll Do:

• Patrol key areas on foot to maintain order and a strong security presence.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed to enter.
• Respond swiftly to alarms and investigate any disturbances.
• Document daily activities and note any irregularities, like property damage or unauthorized access.
• Enforce rules, de-escalate tense situations, and report incidents to authorities as needed.
• Stay vigilant, keeping an eye out for any suspicious activities.
• Protect clients’ assets and personnel with diligence.
• Manage access control at the client’s site or facility.
• Keep detailed logs and write comprehensive reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols and inspections.
• Engage with visitors, patrons, and staff to maintain order and security.
• Ensure all exits, doors, and windows are secured after hours.
• Regularly check surveillance footage for any signs of trouble.
• Investigate any suspicious activity or items.
• Offer assistance to anyone in need.

What You Need:

• Must have your own firearm and an outside-the-waist holster.
• Confident handling of firearms and the ability to pass a marksmanship test.
• A cell phone with active service for communication.
• Reliable transportation to get to and from work.
• Flexible availability for afternoon and overnight shifts.
• Ability to pass a thorough background check.
• Sharp observational skills and clear communication abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong surveillance and reporting skills.
• Ability to write clear and detailed reports on incidents.
