Security / Doorman

Kingston Mines, a famous Late Night Lincoln Park blues nightclub, is looking for level-headed, even-tempered, self-starters for Security / Doorperson positions to keep order, ensure safety, and engage with customers/passersby.

Full-Time and Part-Time hours include:

Thursday 6pm – 2am

Friday and Saturday 6pm – 4am

Sunday 5pm-2am

Must have night/weekend/holiday availability

Requirements include:

• Previous security experience, law enforcement, and/or military preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Must pass a drug test and thorough background check
• Create and maintain a safe and healthy atmosphere
• Check ID’s/bags
• Monitor behavior/intoxication levels of customers and potential customers
• Protect staff, property and equipment from damage
• Diffuse situations and issue warnings in a professional manner to patrons engaging in aggressive/destructive/dangerous/unseemly behavior
• Report writing skills a must
• Eject patrons in a professional manner, if required
• Complete an incident report for any verbal/physical altercations, entry or attempted entry of terminated staff or unwelcome guests, accidents/injuries, or other incidents
• Ensure 911 is called when required and ensure 911 log is updated
• Adhere to safety and alcohol beverage control policies (BASSET)
• Maintain the front sidewalk, including sweeping and snow shoveling when needed, removal of garbage bags before, during and after shifts.
• Must provide or be willing to obtain BASSET within 30 days of hire date

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50 – $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
