Emerge Security Officer

Kids Above All is seeking a Part-time Security Officer to join our Emerge team at our Chicago, IL location, 22.5 hours per week.

Hours:

• Sundays- 6pm- 10:30pm
• Mondays- 4:30pm- 10:30pm
• Fridays-4pm- 8pm
• Saturdays- 6pm- 10:30pm

Job Summary: Maintain a safe environment for clients, staff and visitors at all times. Monitor arrivals & departures of clients, staff, visitors. Guard against theft and maintain security of premises.

Essential Functions:

• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations.

• Maintain liaison with location police, fire, nearest hospital.

• Inspect the log of entry or exit of personnel and of clients.

• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and maintain security of doors windows, gates etc.

• Write reports of unusual activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft or presence of unauthorized persons or unusual occurrences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree preferred, high school accepted.

• Insured automobile and valid driving license is required.

• Must be familiar with the ethnic background and sensitive to the cultures of families in target communities.

• Previous experience in security is required.
