Position Summary

The Flex Officer is a highly skilled, cross-trained security professional responsible for supporting operations across multiple accounts. This role is designed for individuals who consistently demonstrate superior judgment, professionalism, and adaptability in dynamic environments.

Flex Officers are relied upon to stabilize operations, fill critical staffing gaps, support supervisors, and ensure continuity of service at the highest level. They must be capable of quickly learning site-specific post orders, integrating with new teams, and executing with precision—often with little notice.

This position requires a strong operational mindset, leadership presence without formal authority, and the ability to represent Inner Valor at its most visible and critical assignments.

Lead Flex Security Officer/Elite Operations Officer Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level security coverage across multiple client sites as needed
• Rapidly adapt to new environments, post orders, and client expectations
• Serve as a trusted extension of site supervisors and leadership in the field
• Maintain a consistent, professional presence aligned with White Glove Security℠ standards
• Support and reinforce post orders, procedures, and company policies
• Respond to operational needs, incidents, and evolving situations with sound judgment
• Complete accurate and timely incident reports and daily activity logs
• Assist with onboarding support by setting the standard for newly assigned officers
• Maintain strong situational awareness and proactively identify risks or inefficiencies
• Represent Inner Valor with professionalism, confidence, and accountability at all times

Lead Flex Security Officer/Elite Operations Officer Coverage & Continuity Responsibilities

• Provide immediate coverage for call-offs, no-shows, and last-minute staffing needs
• Serve as primary support during high-demand periods, special events, or escalated situations
• Assist in stabilizing new or underperforming accounts
• Travel between sites as needed to ensure uninterrupted service delivery (Chicago and the suburbs)
• Act as a “go-to” resource for supervisors requiring dependable, high-level field support
• Maintain readiness to deploy on short notice, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Support operational continuity by ensuring posts remain filled with qualified personnel

Lead Flex Security Officer/Elite Operations Officer Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the security industry, with demonstrated high performance
• Associate degree in any discipline or a minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Security Officer
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel between client sites
• Reliable transportation
• Valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
• IDFPR-approved 20-Hour Basic Security Training completion certificate
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
• Strong situational awareness, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
• High level of reliability, accountability, and professionalism
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Experience with reporting systems and scheduling platforms
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience supporting multiple sites or working as a flex/rover officer
• Experience in event security, corporate security, or high-profile environments
• Familiarity with Deputy, Vision Insites, or similar platforms
• Prior law enforcement or military experience
• First Aid / CPR / AED certification
• Experience assisting with training, onboarding, or quality assurance initiatives

• Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-demand operational environments
• Strong adaptability and composure under pressure
• Ability to stand, patrol, and remain alert for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs as needed
• Strong observational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
