Armed Security Officer

Overview

Veterans Tactical Solutions dba VTS-Security are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer Professionals to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our veterans, military members, employees, and visitors at the State of Texas – Texas Military Department (Austin Army Aviation Support Facility. This is for Level 3 – Armed Security. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations with Entry Control Duties and Mobile Patrols. The State Security Officer’s position will play a crucial role in preventing loss and ensuring the safety of all individuals on the State of Texas – Texas Military Department. The Shifts are 24/7/365 with (12) hours shifts for Day & Night. Starting pay is $21.00 to $22.00 an hour with 42 hours a week. Must be dedicated security professionals. All applicants has to pass a Physical Training Test and High & Weight requriements for military standards

All new hires must have a valid State of Texas – Level 3 for the positions. Must email Resume & Level 3 card for consideration for the (4) Member Security Team.

CPR & MOAB – Managing of Aggressive Behavior will be certified by VTS.

Start of Contract is December 15th -2025.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas via Foot & Entry Control Duties to ensure safety and security.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
• Military Veterans are highly desired
• Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Provide first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and assist in investigations.
• Document incidents and prepare reports as required.
• Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations.

Qualifications

• Previous, Military, or security highly preferred.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required but will get certified
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Military experience is highly desired.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with reports of activities.
