Security Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking professional and reliable AST Licensed Security Guards to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, property, and the public. You will be expected to provide a strong security presence, respond promptly to incidents, and uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle.
• Ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property.
• Control access to sites and verify credentials of visitors or contractors.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents calmly and efficiently.
• Prepare and submit detailed daily activity and incident reports.
• Enforce site policies and procedures as directed by management.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements:

• Valid AST (Advanced Security Training) License issued in [Province].
• Valid BC Security Worker License (if applicable).
• Minimum [6 months / 1 year] of security experience preferred (but not mandatory).
• Excellent communication and observation skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations.
• Must be physically fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (an asset).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.75-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• Security Officer: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• AST (Advanced Security Training) License (preferred)
