Security Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising security personnel during a designated shift and ensuring the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and assets. This role involves monitoring security operations, handling incidents, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. The Shift Lead will act as the point of contact for security staff, ensuring smooth operations and reporting to the Security Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Security Team: Oversee the daily activities of security officers during the assigned shift, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and professionally.
• Monitor Security Operations: Ensure that all security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control) are operational and that patrols and surveillance are conducted as per schedule.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms. Provide assistance, investigate incidents, and report findings to the Security Manager.
• Enforce Security Protocols: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and security regulations to maintain a safe environment.
• Training & Development: Assist in the training and development of new security officers and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs, shift reports, and incident reports. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Access Control: Oversee the control of access to the facility, ensuring proper identification and authorization of personnel, contractors, and visitors.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients, addressing any security concerns with professionalism.
• Collaborate with Management: Act as a liaison between the security team and management, ensuring effective communication and reporting of security issues.
• Shift Handover: Conduct thorough shift handovers, ensuring the incoming shift is informed of any important developments or ongoing issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in security, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Certifications: Security Officer Certification (where applicable); CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with security systems, protocols, and best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Overnight shift
