A2A Security Agency Inc. is seeking a professional, patient-focused Security Officer for a busy medical clinic in Austin. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for many patients and visitors and play a key part in keeping the clinic safe, orderly, and welcoming for everyone on site.

Main Responsibilities

• Serve as a courteous, confident security presence at entrances, lobbies, and key access points.
• Manage access to staff-only and restricted areas, verifying visitors, vendors, and contractors.
• Assist front desk personnel with line management, directions, and basic inquiries from patients and families.
• Stay alert for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations, and report them promptly.
• Use verbal de-escalation techniques to defuse conflicts or emotionally charged situations whenever possible.
• Respond to disturbances, medical incidents, and clinic “code” situations in line with established procedures.
• Complete clear, detailed activity logs and incident reports before the end of each shift.

Candidate Profile

• Active Texas Security Guard License (Texas DPS) – required.
• At least 2–3 years of security experience; experience in a clinic, hospital, or other healthcare facility is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Professional appearance, respect for confidentiality, and strong sense of responsibility.
• Comfortable in a medical environment and able to function under emotional or stressful circumstances.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and respond quickly throughout the shift.
• Reliable and punctual, with consistent availability Monday–Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; occasional weekend or holiday coverage may be requested by the clinic.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 – 36 per week
