We have an exciting opportunity for a Bench Security Officer to work across multiple dynamic and high-profile sites along the M4 corridor which includes Slough, Reading, Swindon and Reading. A typical day in the life as a Bench Security Officer:

• Provide a visible & welcoming security presence on and around the site with emphasis on access and egress controls.
• To support the client and Wilson James teams during any emergencies on site.
• To operate internal / external security patrols when required ensuring familiarity of site layout, building and processes.
• Meet and greet visitors, staff in a professional and polite manner
• Check and verify entry passes and maintain security awareness.
• Detect and deter unauthorised activity throughout the site and report any suspicious persons immediately to the Supervisor.
• Conversant with the layout of the site and be aware of threats and challenges faced by the site.
• Be fully conversant with emergency evacuation/controlled movement, to a place of safety procedures at the location.
• Offer advice and assistance and be a visual presence and reassurance to visitors.
• Provide a customer focused service, maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times towards the public, the client, residents and colleagues.

• Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
• Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
• Maintain a high standard of customer service
• Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
• Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
• Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the public.
• DS/SG licence
• Excellent IT Skills
