At Smoky Boys Islington we are currently looking for 3 x SIA Licenced bar/restaurant suprevisor.

The Door Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for patrons while enforcing rules and regulations. This position requires a vigilant individual who can effectively manage crowd control, respond to incidents, and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary. The Door Supervisor is responsible for monitoring entry points, conducting searches, and providing first aid when required.
Duties
- Monitor and control access to the venue, ensuring only authorised individuals are permitted entry.
- Conduct thorough searches of patrons and their belongings as needed to prevent prohibited items from entering the premises.
- Maintain a visible presence at the entrance and throughout the venue to deter potential disturbances or illegal activities.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, providing first aid assistance as required.
- Collaborate with security personnel and local law enforcement to address any issues that arise during shifts.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage within the venue.
- Utilise surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to monitor activities within and around the premises effectively.
- Prepare incident reports detailing any occurrences during shifts for future reference and analysis.
Skills
- Proficiency in first aid techniques, with certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention methods and strategies.
- Experience with surveillance systems, particularly CCTV operation and monitoring.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patrons and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to security operations.
This role is essential in ensuring a safe environment for all patrons while upholding the reputation of the establishment through professionalism and vigilance.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
