Door Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Door Supervisor to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and patrons. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. As a Door Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring compliance with licensing laws.

Duties

• Monitor entrance and exit points to ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
• Conduct regular surveillance of the area using CCTV systems to deter and detect any suspicious activity.
• Enforce venue policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanour at all times.
• Provide first aid assistance as needed, ensuring the well-being of patrons and staff.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
• Assist in training new security personnel on best practices and emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, including any actions taken during security breaches or emergencies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a security role is preferred, particularly as a Door Supervisor or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
• Proficient in operating CCTV equipment and understanding its functionality.
• First Aid certification is highly desirable; candidates should be willing to obtain certification if not already held.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
• A strong sense of responsibility and integrity, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
