THE ROLE: Senior Manager, Networks & Security

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Network and Network Security leader to lead our dynamic team of engineers in London. This senior leadership role reports to the UK CTO and involves overseeing the design, deployment, and management of our clients' network infrastructures and ensuring their security and scalability. As a key leader within our managed service provider, you will play a crucial role in aligning network strategies with business objectives, maintaining compliance, and driving excellence in service delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the strategic vision for network infrastructure in alignment with the company’s broader technical goals.
• Partner with senior leadership, and engage with clients to ensure network strategies meet business needs.

• Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing management of multi-tenant and client network services, such as LAN, WAN, Security, VPN, data centre, Load Balancer and WLAN networks.
• Ensure all network environments are secure, scalable, and optimized for peak performance.
• Evaluate and maintain the company’s data centre footprint, ensuring it is secure, cost-efficient, and capable of supporting future growth.

• Collaborate with the Cyber Security team to implement robust security protocols that protect both internal and client networks from cyber threats.
• Ensure all network operations adhere to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of network engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
• Create and implement training and development plans to build team expertise.
• Manage team workload and project assignments, perform peer reviews of key deliverables.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective network solutions.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, including service-level agreements.

• Provide technical and commercial expertise and support in pre-sales activities, helping to develop new business opportunities.
• Manage vendor deal registration and coordinate bid processes to maximize commercial success.

• Oversee the network incident management process, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on operations.
• Lead post-incident analysis and drive the implementation of preventative measures.

• Take ownership of network-related projects, guiding them from planning through to completion, with a focus on delivering on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions across the business.
• Assign projects and manage workload within the team, perform peer reviews on key project deliverables

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in network and network security leadership roles, preferably within a managed service provider environment.
• Experience deploying and managing Cisco ACI, MPLS and VXLAN environments
• Strong Cisco WLAN expertise
• Multi-Vendor Firewall knowledge – Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FP, Fortinet
• Load Balancers – VMware/Avi, F5
• Network Automation experience – Python/Ansible/API
• Strong understanding of network architecture, design, and security best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Experience in managing network security compliance and regulatory standards.
