job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and attentive Security Officer to help maintain the safety of our premises, employees, and visitors. This role suits someone who is reliable, observant, and proactive in handling potential risks. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where staying alert and responding effectively to situations is key. As a Security Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring a secure and well-managed setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine patrols to prevent unauthorised access and ensure safety procedures are being followed.
- Monitor CCTV and other surveillance systems to detect and address any unusual or suspicious activity.
- Support loss prevention efforts by keeping a close watch on both staff and visitor behaviour.
- React quickly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Uphold and enforce company security policies and safety guidelines.
- Offer assistance to visitors and staff in a polite and helpful manner.
- Work alongside emergency services or law enforcement when required.
Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in security is helpful but not required, as full training will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of CCTV systems and monitoring practices is an advantage.
- Understanding of loss prevention techniques is beneficial.
- First aid training is a plus, though training can be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay focused for long periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Pay: £17.00-£18.00 per hour
