CCTV Operator/Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Surveillance Operator to monitor premises using CCTV systems and maintain a secure environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for observing activities, preventing loss, and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to. Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance cameras continuously to observe activity across various locations within the premises.
• Identify suspicious behaviour or potential security breaches promptly and report them to relevant authorities.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by recognising and deterring theft or unauthorised access.
• Maintain accurate logs of surveillance activities, incidents, and irregularities for reporting purposes.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary, until professional help arrives.
• Follow established security procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and assets.
• Conduct regular checks on CCTV equipment to ensure optimal functionality and report any technical issues.

Skills

• Proven experience in surveillance or security roles is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and CCTV operations.
• Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts and handle stressful situations calmly.
• Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
• Basic first aid knowledge is desirable to respond effectively during emergencies.
• Organised with the ability to maintain detailed records of surveillance activities. This position is vital for maintaining a safe environment and deterring unlawful activity through vigilant monitoring and prompt response. The successful candidate will be committed to upholding security standards while demonstrating professionalism and attentiveness at all times.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
