SIA Freelance Trainer(Door Supervisor)

Full Job Description

We are seeking experienced and qualified SIA Trainers to deliver Door Supervisor and related security training courses on a freelance basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing training provider that values professionalism, compliance, and high-quality delivery.

Education, Qualifications and Training

Applicants must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) / PTLLS
• Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) / CTLLS
• Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training (DET) / DTLLS / Cert Ed / PGCE

Desirable (but not essential):

• Assessor (CAVA/TAQA) or IQA qualification
• Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification
• SIA-approved Conflict Management and Physical Intervention Trainer qualification

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering SIA Door Supervisor or other security qualifications
• Up-to-date industry knowledge and valid SIA licence
• Strong classroom delivery and learner engagement skills
• Confident teaching both theory and practical elements
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and safeguarding standards
• IT literate (Microsoft Office, Zoom, email)
• Self-motivated, reliable and professional
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and compliant SIA Door Supervisor training sessions
• Prepare and assess learners according to awarding body standards
• Maintain accurate course and assessment records
• Promote safeguarding, equality, and inclusion throughout all sessions
• Contribute to creating a positive and safe learning environment

Job Types

• Freelance / Self-employed
• Flexible schedule (weekday courses; occasional weekends)

Pay

• From £15.00 per hour (equivalent to £120–£160 per day, depending on experience and qualifications)

Licence/Certification

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (required)
• Recognised teaching qualification (AET or higher) (required)
• First Aid and/or Physical Intervention Trainer qualifications (preferred)
