Day Security Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Day Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises during daytime hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems continuously to observe activity across the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of the site to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
• Control access points by verifying credentials of staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and intervening when necessary.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including administering first aid if required.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities observed during shifts.
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety and security protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when needed to resolve incidents effectively.

Requirements

• Prior experience in surveillance or loss prevention is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
• First aid certification or willingness to undertake training upon employment.
• Strong observational skills with an eye for detail in identifying irregularities or potential threats.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to work independently during scheduled shifts with minimal supervision.
• A valid security licence or certification as required by local regulations is desirable but not mandatory. This role is ideal for individuals committed to maintaining a safe environment through proactive security practices and attentive surveillance.
