On-Call Security Guard

Position Overview:
We are looking for reliable and professional On-Call Security Officers for Vancouver. The ideal candidate must have open availability, the ability to work flexible schedules, and readiness to accept shifts on short notice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned locations to ensure the safety and security of premises.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.
• Conduct regular checks on buildings, gates, and equipment.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, alarms, and security systems.
• Enforce access control procedures, including ID checks and authorizing entry.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, activities, and potential risks.
• Assist with crowd control and handle disturbances with professionalism.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and team members as required.
• Follow all company safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with security breach investigations and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.
• Provide a visible security presence to deter unwanted activity and ensure safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid BC Security Guard License.
• Open availability and willingness to take on shifts as needed.
• Previous security or law enforcement experience is an asset.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically able to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.

Vancouver (on-call, various sites)

Pay: $18.50-$19.50 per hour
