Position: Security Guard (Camp-Based Role) – British Columbia

Position Overview:
Hundal Protection Services is actively recruiting Security Guards for emergency response deployments throughout remote regions of British Columbia, particularly to support wildfire site operations. This is an on-call role based in remote locations.

Qualified candidates must be prepared to work a rotational schedule of 14 days on, with potential 12 to 14-hour shifts. Flexibility to work daytime, overnight, weekends, and holidays is essential. Assignments will be based in remote camps with meals provided. Initial accommodations may include tent setups, which will be supplied along with a cot.

We are looking for individuals with strong communication skills, the ability to think quickly in dynamic situations, and a high standard of report writing and attention to detail. Candidates must be comfortable with outdoor work and capable of handling high-pressure situations.

Compensation: $18–$20 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time

Qualifications:

• Valid BC Security Worker License
• Full Class 5 (or higher) Provincial Driver’s License
• Physically fit; able to stand for extended periods
• Clean Driver’s Abstract
• Proficient in English (spoken and written)
• Valid Standard First Aid certification
• Personal gear required: steel-toed boots, sleeping bag, refillable water bottle, etc.

Preferred Assets:

• WHMIS or other safety certifications
• Outdoor and camping experience

Additional Information:
During the 14-day work rotation, tent accommodations, cots, and meals will be provided. Security staff must bring their own sleeping bags and personal comfort items appropriate for working in the BC wilderness.

Shifts May Include:

• 10 to 12-hour shifts
• Day, evening, night shifts
• Weekdays and weekends
• On-call availability

Work Location:
On-site at various remote locations across British Columbia. This is an in-person, field-based role.

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $18.00-$21.31 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 1 per week
